The pathologist Michael Tsokos no longer heads the forensic medicine department at Berlin’s Charité university hospital. The professor had already asked in the summer “at his own request and for personal reasons” to be able to terminate his contract at the end of 2023. the Charité announced on Wednesday upon request.

“He gave up his management role on December 31st.” According to the clinic, Tsokos will remain as a visiting scientist. The “Bild” newspaper had previously reported on it.
