The main tournament problem has been solved, all that remains is for the Grand Slams to agree and not annoy Djokovic.

The Australian Open heard the objections of a large number of tennis players and decided that the tournament would last a day longer in the future, so that there would not be the usual problems with the schedule, while now the ATP and WTA have taken a similar path. What is it? The two largest tennis organizations have reached an agreement with tennis players, according to which new rules will be applied at tennis tournaments in the future.

Four rules are being introduced, which will be followed by all tournaments in the future – except for the Grand Slams, which have the independence to decide on this regardless of the ATP and WTA agreement – which would should reduce the dissatisfaction of tennis players. That is, they would no longer have a situation where some people play matches until late at night, and then go out on the field again the next day. These are the new rules:

No more than five matches may be scheduled on the same court. Matches may not start after 11:00 p.m. Matches that did not start until 10:30 p.m. will be moved to the next day. The night session starts no later than 6:30 p.m.

We will see if the tournaments will adhere to those rules in the future and if the ATP and WTA will ever manage to influence the Grand Slams, where this has been the most common problem. We also know that it is possible to play tennis at Wimbledon only until 11 pm, because it is forbidden to organize any kind of event in the late hours in the populated area.
