What a tragedy: Boxer and ex-MMA fighter Francis Ngannou mourns the loss of his son. He died when he was only 15 months old. It is not yet known what Kobe died of.

Ngannou addressed the public via Instagram. “I screamed his name over and over again but he didn’t answer,” the 37-year-old wrote in a heartbreaking post. “Life is so unfair that it hits us where it hurts the most,” Ngannou continued.

He openly asks how one deals with such a situation. «How can you live with that? Please help me if you have an idea because I really don’t know what to do and how to deal with it,” pleads the former UFC champion.

Ngannou has a wild past

On X he asks desperately: “Why does life always take away from us what we don’t have? I’m f***ing tired.” Ngannou is currently in his homeland of Cameroon with his family. The mourner receives a lot of support on social media, including from other UFC fighters such as Conor McGregor. He writes: «I’m very sorry to read this, Francis! I can only imagine the pain you are feeling right now.”

Ngannou has a wild past. As a child he worked in sand mines in Cameroon, and at the age of 26 he migrated to Europe and began his martial arts career. He became famous in the UFC, where he became a heavyweight champion. 17 wins and three defeats (all by points) were recorded after a UFC career.

Then Ngannou moved into heavyweight boxing. In October 2023 he lost his first fight against Tyson Fury on points. Ngannou once pushed the Briton to the ground. In March, the Cameroonian took on Anthony Joshua and was knocked out in the second round (see video above).
