It’s in the comments section Kjetil Rolness on Facebook, where the social critic butchers Tuesday’s debate on equality, that “The Debate” presenter Fredrik Solvang lie flat on his toes.
– This was one of the worst “Debate” programs we have made, in my opinion, writes Solvang.
He explains that the intention behind the program was to discuss whether the women’s struggle comes at the expense of men’s position in society.
– It starts out quite strange when it turns out that there is hardly anything left of the original message to Simen Velle. This leads to the rest of the exchange becoming a sauce of shadow boxing against an opponent that does not exist.
The backdrop for yesterday’s broadcast was a trick from the FpU leader Simon Velle on TV 2 that we have got a “tinder-fixated” sex culture. Velle later went out and apologized for parts of the original post. It has nevertheless triggered a debate about why some men are not successful in their love lives.
Kjetil Rolness summarizes the broadcast as follows in his Facebook post:
– The viewers have to sit and listen to guests who talk past each other, repeat themselves, and argue about things they actually agree with. It is unclear both what the topic is, where the lines of conflict go, and where the presenter wants.
According to secretary Erik Skarrud the Broadcasting Council has only received four complaints about “The Debate”. Three of them are about that VGTV profile Sunniva Tillsonbetter known as “StSunniva”, began the broadcast with a humorous element.
– A bit like Velle and his friends, me and my friends have our own research to rest on. I’ve slept with a lot of men, and based on that research, we’ve seen a slightly different pattern, Tillson said in the broadcast.
