It is Saturday’s match that is the starting point for the protest.
– The organizer switches on the goal light and disturbs our goalkeeper just before Storhamar’s third goal. It has a direct impact on the final result, says Johansen TV 2 Monday.
At that point, Frisk led 3-2. Storhamar finally turned the game around and won 5-3. The match was the first of potentially seven possible semi-final matches.
– The rules are clear: An organizing error that affects the final result must be dealt with in the protest committee, and we expect the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association to address that, and not just turn a blind eye. They have to deal with that, says Johansen.
The Frisk manager says that the protest has been rejected, but that the club will appeal the verdict.
– We expect the hockey association to handle the case through the right body, says Johansen.
In the second semi-final match, Stavanger Oilers and Vålerenga meet. The former won 4-1 at home in the first match.
