G7, the leaders’ response: “More weapons and sanctions to defeat Putin’s army”

SCHLOSS ELMAU – Zelensky asks the G7 to help him win the war before Christmas, and the US responds by sending him surface-to-air missiles to block Russian terrorist attacks, such as yesterday’s at the Kremenchuk shopping center, or yesterday’s on Kiev. Not all allies are convinced of the Ukrainian president’s goal of pushing back Moscow troops even beyond the borders of February 24, but they promise to help him with a strategy that includes military supplies, economic aid and tightening sanctions to take Putin money and materials he needs for the offensive.
