Gelder’s partner, actor Ben Daniels, wrote on Instagram: “It is with great, great sadness and a heavy heart that is broken into a million pieces that I leave this news of the death of my beloved husband and life partner.”
Gelder died as a result of cancer. He only received the diagnosis last December, Daniels wrote, adding: “None of us had any idea how quickly it would happen.”
