Jakarta (ANTARA) – Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini emphasized that his team will focus on securing the top four positions in the Italian League standings.
Quoted from Football Italia, Sunday, Gasperini explained that his team has no chance of winning the Scudetto this season so they prefer to focus on hunting for Champions League tickets next season.
The Italian coach believes that his team has a better chance of winning the Coppa Italia title, especially since they have now reached the semifinals against Fiorentina.
“The Scudetto in general is 90-95 or even 100 points, while our best achievements tend to be around 70 points,” explained Gasperini.
“People keep asking about trophies, but the only realistic thing for Atalanta is the Coppa Italia and we reached the final twice. That’s what we can try to win,” he continued.
Regarding their chances of winning the Europa League title, Gasperini believes that this will also be difficult for them to do because of the tough opponents they will face.

“Once you reach the quarter-finals, the Europa League starts to look very similar to the Champions League. We are in everything at the moment, we can’t make a choice, whether it will continue in the Europa League, Coppa Italia, Serie A. We will try to play in all events,” stressed Gasperini.
Optimism has currently overshadowed La Dea in recent times after Mario Pasalic and his colleagues performed well in various competitions and most recently Atalanta just beat Sassuolo 3-0, Sunday morning WIB.
