Giocattorino: the vintage and collectible toy, protagonist on March 16th in Piazza Statuto.

As Spring approaches, a new and surprising edition of Giocattorino arrives. The event takes place under the historic porticoes of Piazza Statuto in Turin, on March 16th with free admission, from 8am to 6pm.

The event organized by the Casa Malta Association, with the patronage of the City of Turin and with the support of Goblin Shop and Mondo Japan, under the Artistic Direction of Paola Paolucci, brings the collectible and vintage toy back to the foreground, which attracts the public of all ages, as it has taken on more and more historical, cultural and social interest, making them a source of memories for those who see their childhood years in them but also for those who consider them artistic works.

The event attracts collectors of all kinds, as it is possible to find rare pieces imported directly from the United States and Japan from the 1950s to the 1990s, when thanks to TV the toy became something more than a simple object but a true icon of a era.

You will have the opportunity to see and buy historical games from those of companies such as “L’Isola di Fuoco”, “Brivido”, “Crack”, scale models of planes, F1 single-seaters, motorbikes beyond the possibility of finding the House of Barbie, the Transformers, the Crystal Warrior, Blackstar, the Popples… plus the latest production in terms of action figures and educational games, figurines, comics, video games…

Alongside the fair, there will be a series of initiatives for lovers of board games, RPGs and card games (Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh! Ho), conferences with guests linked to pop culture return: Alessandra De Stefani director of the AleComics International Fair, the Gamer “The Vaks”, the first president of the Japan Fan Club Association who began to spread the culture of manga and anime in Turin Giuseppe Cutrì, the Doctor Who Association and many others…
