Giovanni Allevi, an internationally renowned composer and pianist, is responsible for a profound renewal of classical music, bringing the art of composition back to the attention of the new generations. He has a diploma in Piano and Composition and a degree in Philosophy with the thesis “The void in contemporary physics”.
He has performed on the stages of the most important concert halls in the world, from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, up to the Auditorium of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Thanks to his intellectual commitment, he is a philosophical point of reference on the concepts of innovation and analysis of change.
His latest book is entitled “The rules of the Piano – 33 notes of music and philosophy for a life out of the ordinary” (Ed. Solferino).
There are numerous degree theses dedicated to him. Knight of the Italian Republic for artistic and cultural merits, he is a Gold Star for Mozart Valor, Falcone e Borsellino Award, and Ambassador of Save the Children, on the front line in the defense of the rights of the little ones. He has received compliments of esteem from Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, and Nobel Prize winner Mikhail Gorbachev. The American Space Agency NASA named an asteroid after him: giovanniallevi111561. He is the author and host of an innovative and award-winning docuseries broadcast on Rai Play: “Allevi in the jungle”. From the notes of the latest single “Our Future” dedicated to the Planet, the composer’s collaboration with Earth Day European Network began, which sees him involved as Ambassador of the most important green initiative dedicated to the Earth.
