Three-Year-Old Girl Dies from Physical Abuse by Stepfather
A tragic case of physical abuse has resulted in the death of a three-year-old girl at the hands of her stepfather. The little girl, identified as Atriannys Medina, sustained severe injuries during the month of July 2023, which ultimately led to her passing.
Reports state that the victim, Atriannys Medina, died at 5:00 in the morning this Friday, at the Doctor Alfredo Van Grieken Hospital in Coro, where she had been admitted for almost six months. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the little girl succumbed to the injuries she sustained as a result of cruel treatment and abuse.
The incident began when Atriannys was admitted to the emergency room at the Doctor Emigdio Ríos Hospital in Churuguara in July 2023. Due to the severity of her injuries, her parents initially took her to the outpatient clinic in their area and she was then referred to the Emigdio Ríos Hospital. She arrived at the hospital in the arms of her mother, 40-year-old Yamileth Pastora Medina Medina.
This heartbreaking case raises questions about the safety and well-being of children in our society. It also sheds light on the harrowing reality of child abuse and the urgent need for greater awareness and intervention to protect vulnerable children.
