Sweat, blood and injuries: presenter Thomas Gottschalk and guests Tim Mälzer and Jorge González will physically feel the current show “Because they don’t know what’s happening” for a long time.
Cologne – It will be one of the most turbulent evenings on the RTL show “Because they don’t know what’s happening” (DSWNWP): several guests leave the show with injuries related to Barbara Schöneberger (50), Thomas Gottschalk (73) and Günther Jauch (67). And even a moderator is not spared.
Risk of injury with the DIY special from DSWNWP
It is well known that the presenters and guests of “Because They Don’t Know What’s Happening” show full physical commitment in every show. The dreaded moving wall at the end of the show, where every question you answer incorrectly gives you less space to hold on to and eventually falls off, is one of the exciting highlights. During this part, moderator Barbara Schöneberger often has to take over for the moderator team instead of her colleagues Thomas Gottschalk or Günther Jauch. Barbara Schöneberger just looked back on her career and wonders how she actually became successful.

In the current show, a “home improvement special,” she makes fun of guest Jorge González (56) in her usual ironic manner. He is injured when he hits an obstacle hard on a fast wooden cart during the cordless drill race. “All my organs are coming out of here,” cries out the GNTM choreographer in the first excerpts from the show rtl.de. Since the concept of the show means that the presenters go into the show without any prior knowledge, rehearsals are not possible for most games. “The Wall” is an integral part of DSWNWP. Thomas Gottschalk has to play the final game.
Tim Mälzer has to suffer as a guest on “Because they don’t know what’s happening”.
The 73-year-old holds on bravely, even when his pants rip and injuries from the show are revealed underneath. Would star chef Tim Mälzer (53) have imagined his guest appearance like this? The DIY special is not just physically challenging. The show is not immune to mishaps. When Barbara Schöneberger floats through the room as a living drill, she hits the Hamburger with her pointed headgear and just misses his eye. Blood is being shed and everyone is worried. The hamburger takes it easy: “Where there is planing, there are shavings,” said the TV chef after he was treated.

What an exciting show! Only one remains uninjured. Who that is and what else happens in the show in which the participants never know exactly what is happening: on May 4, 2024 at 8:15 p.m. in full length on RTL or in the stream on rtlplus.de.
