As announced, the famous Radio Oasis, which was broadcast on the 100.1 MHz signal, stopped broadcasting on January 31, giving way to the evangelical station Radio Bethel, owned by the World Missionary Movement.

Thus, to the rhythm of Me elevé, by singer-songwriter Pedro Suárez-Vértiz, the radio station belonging to CRP, said goodbye to its listeners at midnight on Wednesday.

“We want to thank the Radio Oasis team for the effort, love and passion they dedicated to this station that marked a milestone in the history of rock and pop in the 80s and 90s,” CRP reported a few weeks ago.

At the time of saying goodbye, the radio was playing Suárez-Vértiz’s song, which was not finished listening. This is because the transmission was immediately cut off to make way for Bethel.

Therefore, settling on 100.1 MHz, a presenter was heard saying a controversial phrase that alerted some listeners.

“God is the owner of the stations. Let no one boast because they have a radio station, because God is the owner, he is going to take away someone’s radio stations and put them in the hands of the World Missionary Movement,” he heard himself say.
