Hands on Socotra: the strategic island for the control of Suez

HADIBOH (SOCOTRA) – There is an island perched between Asia and Africa that is increasingly important to guarantee freedom of access to the Suez Canal and to counter both jihadism in the Horn of Africa and Iran’s strong interference in the Arabian Peninsula: it is the Socotra island, controlled by South Yemen separatist militias, with the support of the United Arab Emirates.
