Mothers represent the strength, love and resilient fiber of Cauca. On this Mother’s Day, we pay a well-deserved tribute to all those brave women who, day after day, weave the threads that keep our society together.
In the most remote corners of our mountainous geography, Caucasian mothers are the fundamental pillar of our homes and communities. With their tireless dedication, their ancestral wisdom and their ability to overcome adversity, they are the lighthouse that guides our steps in the most difficult moments.
From Periódico Virtual, we want to send a warm hug to all the Cauca mothers who, with their infinite love, have forged generations of men and women committed to building a more just, supportive and prosperous Cauca. They have taught to give value to what is not seen, to know and understand that the love of money is the beginning of all evil, and that whoever loves money should not be a ruler, much less a journalist.
To the peasant mothers, guardians of our traditions and custodians of the fertile land that feeds us, we say: Thank you for your tenacity and for teaching us the value of honest work!
To the indigenous mothers, repositories of ancient knowledge and defenders of our ancestral roots, we express our deep admiration for keeping the flame of our identity alive.
To the Afro-descendant mothers, singers of resistance and bearers of the joy that adorns our land, we pay tribute for their unwavering strength and their ability to overcome any obstacle.
Caucasian women have proven to be tireless fighters, capable of facing the most arduous challenges with unwavering courage and determination. Throughout history, they have fought political and social battles in defense of their rights and those of their communities, overcoming barriers and obstacles with admirable strength.
In this sense, it is impossible not to recognize the inspiring figure of Francia Márquez, current Vice President of Colombia. Born in the humble municipality of Suárez, Cauca, Márquez has been a tireless voice in the fight for environmental justice, the rights of Afro-descendant communities, and the construction of a more equitable and inclusive society.
Her career as a social leader, defender of human rights, she is a symbol of the courage, resilience and determination that characterize so many Caucasian women who have broken barriers and opened paths for future generations. Francia Márquez embodies the spirit of struggle and resistance of a people that does not give up in the face of adversity and that finds in feminine strength an inexhaustible source of inspiration and transformative change.
To all Caucasian mothers, regardless of their condition or origin, we say from the depths of our hearts: Happy Mother’s Day! His dedication, his love and his example are the best legacy we can inherit.
