He thus wins the World Cup overall after completing all the races.
– He has been consistently good from more or less the first pole vault. He has delivered at a high, high level every single weekend. He doesn’t win that many ski races, but is always in the running for victory. This means that you will steadily pick up points, says TV 2’s cross-country expert Petter Skinstad.
Sunday’s winner, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, pays tribute to his boss.
– That is impressive. He has had a great season. He has had many podiums and some wins as well.
– But not as many victories as you?
– No, but I think he is quite satisfied with the season. And he has every reason to do so, says the Trønder.

– I think I should celebrate a bit. This is “once in a lifetime”, I’m going to enjoy this. It will be good to have a party, says the protagonist himself.

– He has become a complete skier. Previously, he was a skater – and had great weaknesses in classical. Now he’s just as good there. He was most recently on the podium yesterday in the classic sprint, says Skinstad.
The victory also means a juicy sum into the account. 50,000 Swiss francs in prize money only for the overall win – equivalent to almost NOK 600,000 in the account.
