A man is dead shortly after midnight hit by a train in the Chiari station. It is a 51 year old workerwho last night was working on one of the construction sites open inside the station on behalf of a company outside the Italian railway network that deals with maintenance.
From what was reconstructed by the railway police, the 51-year-old would have crossed the tracks as a train was arrivingthe Italo Napoli-Bergamo.
The inspections by the police concluded recently this morning, but the dynamics are not yet clear of the accident. The Brescia Fire Brigade and the Franciacorta Asst rescue team were also on site yesterday.
Exactly one year ago, 22 January 2023, another train accident occurred in Chiari station: the the victim was a boy 15 year old Elion Shala, who died after being hit by a Eurocity.
