LONDON – Human rights are “under attack” everywhere in the world, but people are “programmed” to claim them. It is the message that the UN Secretary General, Anthony Guterres, he pronounced this morning at the 49th United Nations Human Rights Council, which opened in Geneva and will continue for the next five weeks. “Human rights cannot be abolished by dictators or erased by misery,” Guterres said.
