We will talk about love in relation to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and in particular the impact that ADHD can have on couples in adolescence and early adulthood
ROME – The Hyper-Attivo Amore 2 event will take place on Friday 16 February, organized by AIFA APS, the Italian Association of ADHD Families, sponsored by the Municipality of Terni and included in the Valentinian Events 2024. We will talk about love in relation to Attention Deficit Disorder and Hyperactivity, and in particular the impact that ADHD can have on couples in adolescence and early adulthood. The topic will be explored together with mental health professionals who will alternate with entertainment, culture and art artists. The testimonies of people with ADHD will also be the protagonists.
In Umbria, prevalence estimates (processed by AIFA APS according to DSM5 prevalences and Istat population data as of 1 January 2023) indicate approximately 18,000 people with ADHD, aged 6 to 67 years. Around 4500 minors between 6 and 17 years old and around 13,400 adults between 18 and 67 years old.
“Hyper-Attivo Amore 2, in the context of the Valentinian events, is aimed at everyone – states Patrizia Stacconi, president of AIFA Aps – to make people understand how ADHD, undiagnosed and untreated, can compromise family and couple relationships”.
