FC Porto once again conceded points at home, drawing 2-2 today against Famalicão, in the 29th round of the 1st Football League, which leaves the ‘dragons’ out of the race for the top two places.
A double from Jhonder Cádiz, at nine and 45+1 minutes, allowed the Famalicense team, which had two consecutive victories and reached its fourth consecutive game without losing, to reach half-time with a 2-1 lead, after Zaydou had FC Porto’s first goal was scored in his own goal, at 17.
The ‘dragons’, who had their third consecutive game without winning, the second at home, still reached equality through Mehdi Taremi, at 82, having been reduced to 10 at 90+3, due to Evanilson’s expulsion.
With this draw, FC Porto maintained third place, with 59 points, 15 less than leader Sporting and eight than second-placed Benfica, both with one game less than the ‘dragons’, who can still be reached by Sporting de Braga, a team that still plays at Estoril Praia’s home today, while Famalicão remains in a quiet eighth place, with 35 points.
