ALFAAndrea De Filippi, Genoese singer-songwriter born in 2000 and multi-platinum artist, participates for the first time in the Sanremo Festival, competing with the song “Wow!”. After the Sanremo event his new tour will start, “I DON’T KNOW WHO CREATED THE WORLD BUT I KNOW HE WAS IN LOVE WITH TOUR” produced by Artist First, and will also pass by Bari on April 19th at the Palaflorio.
“Wow!” Alfa says, “It’s a straight drum song with a folk-country sound and was born in a studio in California together with two producers Ian Scott & Mark Jackson while I was in the USA working on the new album. The song talks about this life choice of mine, but also of many of my peers, to move forward even if we don’t know where. We are a generation that has few points of reference and the fact of going is something courageous but it is also the only possible choice.”
Representative of Generation Z, ALFA he presents himself as a simple, normal boy, with the same paranoia and anxieties as his peers. In a world where appearing is so important and today’s values concern the self-determination of the individual, the young singer-songwriter instead puts love at the center of his songs because, for him, being romantic is the real revolution.
For the cover evening, ALFA will duet with Roberto Vecchioniin “Dream boy dream”and song with great contemporary meaning written bythe Professor in 1999. The song represents an incitement to young people to never give up and to courageously face all the challenges that life presents them with.
After an overwhelming 2023 in which he topped the charts and had two sold out tours, participation in the Sanremo Festival represents, for ALFAthe realization of the dream of an artist who considers music his best friend, which allowed him to overcome his fears and take flight.
The text of “Or!” was written by ALFA and the music composed by him ALFA with the collaboration of US producers Ian Scott e Mark Jackson. The song will be contained in the new album which will be titled “I DON’T KNOW WHO CREATED THE WORLD BUT I KNOW HE WAS IN LOVE” and will be published by Artist First on February 16th on digital platforms and on February 23rd in picture disc format.
After participating in the Sanremo Festival, ALFA will keep his first tour of the arenaswhich will start from the already sold out Milan Forum, and will subsequently touch the cities of Padua, Turin, Naples, Bari and Florence.
