In Germany four people were killed in two houses: a soldier who handed himself over to the police is suspected

In northern Germany, 4 people were shot dead in two different houses. The German police believes that the murders occurred during the night between Thursday and Friday and it is currently unclear whether they are connected. The main suspect is a soldier who was arrested after spontaneously handing himself over to the police: he is stationed in a barracks near the two places where the bodies were found, in Scheessel and Bothel, in the state of Lower Saxony. The police said they had not yet identified a motive and that “it cannot be ruled out that the facts concern family ties”.
