Iran, 6.3 magnitude earthquake: 5 victims and over forty injured

The toll of the strong 6.3 magnitude earthquake that hit southern Iran is at least 5 dead and 44 injured. The Iranian state TV reported. Rescue teams were deployed near the epicenter, the village of Sayeh Khosh, which is home to around 300 people in the province of Hormozgan, about 1,000 kilometers south of the capital Tehran.

People took to the streets as aftershocks continued to rock the area after the early morning earthquake, which also damaged buildings and infrastructure. The earthquake was felt in many neighboring countries.
