KIEV – The Ukrainians are pushing the Russians away from Kiev. Slowly, meter after meter, with a step that is certainly less triumphant than what the official sources of the Ministry of Defense suggest, but the counter-offensive on the north-west front is bearing its first fruits. Two days ago it was Makariv, a country 60 kilometers from the capital, largely reconquered.
