Is an ecological farm the same as economic suicide? The answer of the “poet-peasant” Rebanks

James Rebanks, born in 1974, achieved fame with the book “The Shepherd’s Life” and the Twitter account @ herdyshepherd1. His second book “English Pastoral” instead tells the story of saving his grandfather’s old farm, a “fell farm” in the Lake District, in the North West of England, where he lives with his wife and four children.

Interviewing him proved problematic, his job as a sheep and cow farmer leaves him little time.
