Isère. When the actor Raphaël Quenard praises (again) the charms of the city of Gières

Definitely. Although he may be one of the most popular actors of the moment, Raphaël Quenard seems to keep the small Isère town that saw him grow up in his heart. Nominated twice for the 2024 César Awards (best actor and best male hopeful), he was invited to the set of Yann Barthès, this January 29 on TMCto receive the Golden Q for best actor, an award given to personalities that the Quotidien show particularly appreciated this year.

Nothing surprising given his performances in Junkyard Dog and Yannick (the two films for which Raphaël Quenard is nominated)… but also for the one he performed on this same set, in September 2023. Raphaël Quenard and Yann Barthès spoke for a few minutes about Gières, the town near Grenoble where the actor grew up.

They did it again, in this Tuesday’s show, alongside Florence Foresti. During the traditional moment of thanks which follows an award, Raphaël Quenard thanked the one he nicknamed “the great Brigitte” and who lives in Gières, “a small town in the Rhône-Alpes region that you know well”, he said. -he teased, in reference to his last appearance on the show, before continuing: “And that everyone is in a hurry to go visit because it is a city which presents various advantages and charms in terms of tourism. »

” Which ? », asked Yann Barthès. “In particular its four geraniums in the flower town classification”, smiled Raphaël Quenard, before expressing surprise that Florence Foresti has never played at the Laussy hall of the commune, which is “yet a beautiful hall”.

A beautiful statement and a nice nod to the commune which, it seems, intrigued viewers. “Gières” saw a spike in Google searches when the show aired.
