Two Israeli policemen died today in the city of Hadera. Two Arab armed men hit them, subsequently shot and killed by agents. The police have made it known.
“Fortunately, our agents were able to neutralize the assailants and prevent a larger terrorist attack,” national police spokesman Eli Levy said on Israeli television Kan, who showed footage of two men, armed with rifles, who opened fire on a main road in Adera, about 50 km (30 miles) north of Tel Aviv.
The attack coincided with the ‘Negev Summit’, which brings together the foreign ministers of Israel, the USA, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Morocco. There are also three people injured.
