Tel Aviv – The last two of the six Palestinian prisoners who escaped from the Gilboa maximum security prison in northern Israel about two weeks ago were arrested tonight in Jenin in a joint operation between the Israeli army, police and internal intelligence services (Shabak), thus putting an end to the manhunt. Munadil Nafayat e Iham Kahamji, both members of Islamic Jihad, were found in an eastern neighborhood of Jenin, a city under the full jurisdiction of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), and not in the refugee camp adjacent to the city, a sort of “no man’s land” controlled by Palestinian armed groups, which would have made the risk of violent confrontations highly likely if Israeli forces tried to capture them …
