The midfielder James Rodriguez asked to terminate his contract with São Paulo. The conversation between the parties took place this week and the athlete understands that he has not been given enough space since his arrival last year. The information was initially published by GE and confirmed by Terra.
The player informed the football management that he wants to leave. The board will evaluate the terms of the termination, as it has some financial issues with the Colombian, regarding the gloves when signing the contract, which would be a type of bonus, diluted until December 2025.
James Rodríguez was the only player who did not travel with the São Paulo delegation to the Brazilian Super Cup. Even injured athletes who are training, but outside of plans — like midfielder Luan, went to Belo Horizonte (MG).
