Jodie Foster happy at 61: “There’s something that happens at a certain age that makes you not care!”
At 61, the actress has never looked so radiant. Far from her role in Taxi Driver, where she was only 13 years old, she takes her age in perspective and sees the bright side of things: “I have never been so happy in my life. It probably has to do with the fact that I’ve entered my sixties: there’s something that happens at a certain age that makes you don’t care! ‘I had my time’, I had my moment of glory, but I am aware that today it is the turn of others. My career now consists of supporting the new generation. It’s so much more fun to not be in the center anymore!” A beautiful way of seeing maturity, which now places her as an emblematic figure of cinema.

With age, Jodie Foster is less in demand than before
If Jodie Foster is becoming increasingly rare on our screens, she explains that this is due to her own choices. And specifies that she only accepts projects that interest her. “Those who are worth investing in are not common, so I prefer to say no. I still receive quite a few offers, but still fewer than before because I am now part of the old people’s club.” The American actress currently appears in the fourth season of the anthology series True Detective (Prime Video). She plays Liz Danvers, a police officer who doesn’t hold her tongue in her pocket, and who has just lost her son. The series can be seen on the streaming platform since January 15, 2024, with the Warner Pass.
