For the first time, Jodie Turner-Smith (37) opens up about the breakup with Joshua Jackson (45).

In October last year, it became known that model and actress Jodie Turner-Smith had filed for divorce from her actor husband.
By then, four years had passed since the two had married.
In an interview with The Times confides British Turner-Smith why she wanted out of her marriage with the Canadian “Dawson’s Creek” star.
– Sometimes it happens that something we really want to work, nevertheless ends up not doing so, says the 37-year-old.
She concludes that it is completely «OK».
– The most important thing is that you find out what is the healthiest for you and your family – and definitely for the children, she says.
Turner-Smith and Jackson have a three-year-old daughter together.
She has a piece of advice for everyone – and it boils down to asking yourself regularly if you are living “your best life”.
– If the answer is no, action must be taken. I think you get visible scars by staying in situations that are not good for us. It affects not only us, but also everyone around.

Turner-Smith refuses to see the marriage as a fault line. She specifies that they had beautiful moments and experiences together, and that there is still “a lot of love”.
– Bravest
– But now it’s a new time for both of us. (…) The bravest thing you can do in this world is to realize when something is not working and take the necessary steps.
She herself feels a responsibility to create a better life for everyone involved – not least because she wants to set a good example for her daughter.
When the 37-year-old applied for a divorce, it was based on the standard phrase “irreconcilable differences”. At the same time, Turner-Smith asked for shared custody of the daughter and did not seek alimony from Jackson.
She is currently single, while Jackson has been linked to the Mexican-Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o (40) in the last couple of months, writes Entertainment Tonight. However, the two have not confirmed the relationship.
Together for five years
The two actors met during Jackson’s birthday in 2018, and married the following year.
Turner-Smith has previously stated that she was a huge admirer of Jackson after seeing him in the role of Pacey Witter in the 2000s teen drama Dawson’s Creek.
She herself made her acting debut in 2013 in the TV series “True Blood”, and has later been seen in “Queen & Slim”, “After Yang” and “White Noise”.
Jackson, who has not spoken about the breakup with his wife, has been seen in a number of roles in recent years. including “Dr. Death” and the new version of “Fatal Attraction”.
