With one race left in the season, youngest brother Bø is crowned World Cup champion for the second season in a row.

Only older brother Tarjei Bø could beat Johannes Thingnes Bø in the start of the season in the battle for overall victory in the Biathlon World Cup.

After Thingnes Bø’s first sprint win of the season on Friday, he was able to go first at the start of the chase on Saturday evening in Canmore in Canada.
The biathlon king missed three times lying down through 12.5 kilometers and four times standing, but no one was anywhere near as fast in the track as Thingnes Bø.

– It is a mental game and coming out victorious is a fantastic feeling, he continues.
With that, Thingnes Bø passed the Frenchman Martin Fourcade in the number of World Cup victories and touched the same man in the number of podium places in the World Cup summary.
Now only Ole Einar Bjørndalen has more podium places with his 13.
Fourcade has seven overall wins, one second place and one third place. Thingnes Bø has five wins, two second places and two third places.
Earlier Saturday, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold lost the yellow leader’s jersey in the World Cup to Italian Lisa Vittozzi.
There is a difference of 61 points between the two and it will all be decided on Sunday in the very last race of the season – a 12.5 kilometer joint start.
