Johnson & Johnson stated that Will pay $6.5 billion to settle most lawsuits brought by women with ovarian cancerconnected touse of talc-based products. The settlement is tied to a third bankruptcy filing by a J&J subsidiary, LTL Management.

J&J said that the remaining pending lawsuits will be addressed outside the new resolution plan. The pharmaceutical giant said it having already resolved 95% of lawsuits related to mesothelioma.
