Raja Jordan Abdullah asked the President United States of America (AS) Joe Biden to assist in stopping the “massacre” of Palestinian civilians in Rafah, Gaza Strip South side. King Abdullah also called on the international community to take immediate action.
As reported Reuters and Al ArabiyaTuesday (7/5/2024), this was conveyed King Abdullah during a private meeting with Biden at the White House, Washington DC, on Monday (6/5) local time.
During the meeting, King Abdullah told Biden that the ground attack Israel to Rafah would lead to a “new massacre” of Palestinians.

“The King warned of the impact of an Israeli ground attack on Rafah, which could lead to regional conflict,” said a statement released by the Kingdom of Jordan after King Abdullah and Biden had lunch together at the White House.
King Abdullah in his meeting with Biden, according to a statement from the Kingdom of Jordan, “warned that Israel’s attack on Rafah, where 1.4 million Palestinians are internally displaced by the war in Gaza, threatens to lead to new massacres”.
“His Majesty emphasized the importance of all efforts to immediately achieve a ceasefire in Gaza,” the Kingdom of Jordan said in a statement.
“The King and the US President affirmed their commitment to working to achieve a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of facilitating the continued delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip given its urgent needs,” the statement added.
Israel launched air strikes on targets in Rafah on Monday (6/5) local time, and ordered Palestinian residents there to immediately evacuate parts of the city where more than a million people have taken refuge from the war that has raged for the past seven months.
