What was the cause?
The Weil am Rhein traffic police are currently investigating whether alcohol played a role as the cause of the accident. The reason why the vehicle overturned in a left-hand bend on the right-of-way is currently unknown. The driver is being investigated on suspicion of negligent bodily harm. According to the initial investigation, the team drove into the curve at slow speed, the police said later in the afternoon. Also that the accident site has been cleared and reopened.
Not confiscated
Drone footage should help get to the bottom of the cause of the accident. The slope of the curve is particularly important because the May wagon was almost stationary. The question still to be answered is whether there were possibly too many people on the trailer. This was not confiscated, but taken to the construction yard because the investigators had analyzed the vehicle on site.
