Karol G celebrates triple today (February 14): It’s her 33rd birthday, Valentine’s Day and she has a new single.

On Wednesday, he unveiled his new song, “Contigo,” featuring Tiësto. This is the third collaboration between the Colombian superstar and the Dutch DJ after “Don’t Be Shy” (2021) and “Provenza (Remix)”, part of Karol’s album Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful (Bichota Season) of 2023.

Marking a new era of “Bichota,” “Contigo” is an all-Spanish song that fuses rhythmic pop with electronic dance music and also interpolates Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” from 2007. Co-produced by Ryan Tedder, the lyrics focus on themes of love and acceptance, and the accompanying music video shows Karol’s support for the LGBTQ+ community by sharing the screen with Young Miko as her partner.

The “TQG” singer first previewed the song’s lyrics on Twitter: “I don’t want life if it’s not WITH YOU.” She officially confirmed that she had a new bop coming during one of her concerts at Mexico’s Estadio Azteca over the weekend.

“My fans in Mexico had a surprise for me where, based on that phrase, they carried a giant sign that said: We don’t want life if it’s not WITH YOU,” he expressed in his Instagram stories. “I was so moved and I couldn’t wait to announce the news that this song is coming out on Valentine’s Day, my birthday, February 14th. Thank you to all the people who agreed on this incredible detail and to my team for helping them make it possible.”
