On the night of this Wednesday, May 8, the academy rewarded national talent at the Nuestra Tierra Awards, which were held at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá.

In this 2024 edition, there were more than 150 artists who participated in 28 categories and in addition, a tribute was paid to Diomedes Díaz, one of the most important exponents of vallenato in the country.

During the awards, there were several presentations by artists such as Arelys Henao, Beéle, Cholo Valderrama, Ciro Quiñonez, Esteban Rojas, Gusi, Jessi Uribe, Juan Duque, Juliana, Kapla and Miky, Karen Lizarazo, Laura Maré, Luis Alfonso, Maca and Gero , Manú, Mike Bahía, Mono Zabaleta, Rafael Santos, Santamaría and Ventino.

Karol G (15 nominations), Shakira (11), Feid (9), Andrés Cepeda (9), Manuel Turizo (7), Maluma (6), Carlos Vives (6), Morat (6), Beéle (6), Juanes (5), Manuel Medrano (4) and Fonseca (4).

The most awarded artist of the night was Karol G, who won 7 awards, although she was not present at the awards ceremony.

Best Urban collaboration with TQG with Shakira

The first award went to Juliana Velásquez for Best Female Pop Artist of the Year, and Best Male Pop Artist went to Andrés Cepeda from Bogotá.

Then the good news came for Junior Zamora, who won the award in the Best Alternative Indie Rock Artist category. Then it was the turn of vallenato, that characteristic genre of the Colombian Caribbean. Silvestre Dangond won in the Best Vallenato Artist category. He also won the category for Best Vallenato Song.

The winner for Best New Artist was Esteban Rojas and the best urban song went to Luna de Feid, who also won Best Urban Artist. As for the Best dance – electro song, it went to Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 by Shakira together with the Argentine DJ Bizarrap.

The winner for Best Folk Artist was the singer Adriana Lucía. The winner for Best Tropical Salsa or Cumbia Artist was Mauro Castillo.

In the popular genre, the Best Popular Song went to La Cantina Remix and Best Popular Artist won Luis Alfonso.

The winning pop duo or group is Morat. The Best artist, DJ producer was Mitú. The award for Producer of the Year went to Ovy on the drums.

In the category for Best Alternative Indie Rock Song, Leche de tigre by the band Diamante Eléctrico won with Adrián Quesada. In addition, Andrea Echeverri won the award for Root Woman of Our Land.
