Jakarta (ANTARA) – British Royal Family member Kate Middleton decided it was time to announce her health condition after being diagnosed with cancer, according to sources close to the royal family.
People on Saturday (23/3) citing information from people close to the British Royal family that it was Princess Kate who personally decided to share information about her diagnosis with the public at a time that was right for her, Prince William, and their three children.
People close to the royal family say that every decision they make is aimed at protecting Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis during a difficult time.
In his post, People stated that the public announcement regarding the Princess’s cancer diagnosis was not triggered by various rumors and conspiracy theories circulating on online platforms.

The Princess of Wales made the public announcement of her diagnosis on Friday, the first day of her children’s school holidays ahead of Easter.
George (10), Charlotte (8) and Louis (5) won’t go back to school until mid-April, so the family will have a few weeks together to work out family issues privately.
Diana Award Chief Executive Tessy Ojo, who has worked with Prince William on anti-online harassment initiatives and attended the March 14 event with him, praised Princess Kate and Prince William’s decision to wait until their children’s school holidays to make the public announcement.
He said Prince William understood the power of the internet which could be very damaging, especially to young children.
“I want the public to learn from this and make people stop for a moment and think. When we think because they are public figures, we have the right to know everything about them,” he said.
“I hope this teaches us something as a society, that people should respect privacy and that people have private lives and that we don’t need to know everything. The least we can do is show kindness,” he added.

Kate Middleton on Friday announced her health condition in a private video message.
“William and I have done everything we can to process and manage this privately for the benefit of our family,” he said.
Kate said that she needed time to recover from major surgery so she could start undergoing cancer treatment.
“But, most importantly, it took time for us to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that worked for them, and to reassure them that I would be OK,” he said.
