33-year-old Walker admitted on Monday to have been unfaithful against his wife Annie Kilner over several years.
– What I have done is terrible, and I take full responsibility. I have made idiotic choices, he said in an interview with The Sun.
He deeply apologized to his wife and children for the pain he has caused them.
Asked if Walker will continue as captain, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola answers ahead of Wednesday’s game against Burnley:
– Absolutely, because it is a decision for the team, not me.
– I support him and his family and will not say a single word about players’ personal matters, Guardiola continued.
Kyle Walker has been at City since 2017 and in that time has won 14 trophies, including five Premier League titles.
According to The Sun’s article, the football star has recently had his second child out of wedlock with model Lauryn Goodman. At the same time, Walker’s wife has been pregnant with the couple’s fourth child.
