Portuguese international André Silva, on loan from Leipzig until the end of the season, was a starter for the Basques. The striker was on the field for 62 minutes, but was unable to find his way to the opponent’s goal.
Real Sociedad is in 6th place with 36 points, and can now watch rival Athletic Bilbao (5th, with 41) move away, who play Cádiz on Sunday.
Rayo Vallecano remains in 13th place, with 24 points.
