Clothing company Levi Strauss & Co has held the naming rights to the 49ers’ home since the stadium opened in 2014. The original 20-year contract worth $220 million still had ten years left to run.
The new contract extension is one of the largest of its kind in NFL history and is worth $17 million per year, up from the $11 million the 49ers previously received annually.
Significant renovations and reinvestment will be underway at Levi’s Stadium in the coming years, beginning with a major suite remodel following the current NFL season. The stadium will also serve as a venue for the 2026 World Cup and host Super Bowl 60 in the same year.
