Motorsport writes that it is uncertain whether final contracts have been signed, but that the negotiations will soon be finished and that it may be in the box during this week.
Viaplay’s Formula 1 commentator Atle Gulbrandsen says that Motorsport is a reliable source.

He is puzzled as to why the message about a transfer is coming now.

Lewis Hamilton has seven WC titles. He has won six of the titles with Mercedes. The first title came in 2008, when he drove for McLaren. The 37-year-old finished 3rd in the WC summary last season, behind Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez from Red Bull.
Hamilton signed a giant contract with Mercedes for 2024 and 2025 last year.
Ferrari, like the other teams, has two cars in the Formula 1 circus, now it is Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz who drive the iconic red cars.

There have been rumors about Hamilton and Ferrari for many years. It has been a poorly kept secret that the British driver is on Ferrari’s wish list. Gulbrandsen points out that Ferrari has not won since 2007.
