Motorsport writes that it is uncertain whether final contracts have been signed, but that the negotiations will soon be finished and that it may be in the box during this week.

Viaplay’s Formula 1 commentator Atle Gulbrandsen says that Motorsport is a reliable source.

– And I think it happens when they report it. But I don’t understand why, says Atle Gulbrandsen to VG.

He is puzzled as to why the message about a transfer is coming now.

– The testing of the cars has not started this year. He doesn’t know exactly how good this year’s Mercedes is. If it turns out that they have worked wonders, they are suddenly on the same level as Red Bull, says Gulbrandsen.

Lewis Hamilton has seven WC titles. He has won six of the titles with Mercedes. The first title came in 2008, when he drove for McLaren. The 37-year-old finished 3rd in the WC summary last season, behind Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez from Red Bull.

Hamilton signed a giant contract with Mercedes for 2024 and 2025 last year.

Ferrari, like the other teams, has two cars in the Formula 1 circus, now it is Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz who drive the iconic red cars.

Hear George Russell yelling at Hamilton on team radio in Qatar:

There have been rumors about Hamilton and Ferrari for many years. It has been a poorly kept secret that the British driver is on Ferrari’s wish list. Mercedes was second in the Constructors’ Championship. The constructor (team/team) that takes the most points in a season. last season, far behind Red Bull, but three poor ahead of Ferrari.

Thus, Hamilton can use a clause to switch to Ferrari from 2025, reports Motorsport.com. Neither Mercedes nor Ferrari has yet commented on the matter.

Gulbrandsen points out that Ferrari has not won since 2007.

– Hamilton’s goal is to become world champion once more, because he has enough money. No, this is incredibly strange. He has probably stated that it is a childhood dream to drive for Ferrari, but that cannot play any role here, his goal is to win, says Gulbrandsen.

Last year there were rumors that Hamilton was negotiating with RedBull about a contract:
