February is just around the corner. This month has many holiday and tight days that people or workers can use for vacation.

The following is a list of national holidays and holiday together February 2024, complete with other important anniversary dates throughout the month.

The 2024 national holidays and collective leave have been determined through Joint Decree No. 855/2023, no. 3/2023, and No. 4/2023 concerning National Holidays and Collective Leave in 2024.

There will be two red dates that coincide with religious celebrations, namely Thursday, February 8, which is the commemoration of Isra Miraj; Friday, February 9 holiday for Chinese New Year; and February 10 Kongzili Chinese New Year celebration 2575.

Apart from the national religious holiday, there will be an additional holiday from the government which will take place on the 2024 presidential election voting day which falls on Wednesday, February 14.

Referring to Article 167 of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections, voting day is designated as a holiday.

“Voting is carried out simultaneously on holidays or days that are closed nationally,” the law states.

The following is a list of red dates and collective holidays for February 2024 which can be used as a reference.

  • Thursday, February 8: Isra Miraj Prophet Muhammad SAW
  • Friday, February 9: Holiday for Chinese New Year
  • Saturday, February 10: Chinese New Year and holiday weekend
  • Wednesday, February 14: Simultaneous Election Day 2024

This means, there will be several tight days that fall in a row, namely on February 12-13 and February 15-16.

Workers can apply for 4 days of leave on that date to extend the holiday period by a total of 11 days, starting from 8-16 February plus 2 weekend days, namely 17-18 February.

That way, you can return to work on Monday, February 19 2024.

Apart from that, there are also important dates that will be celebrated in February 2024. These dates are celebrated to commemorate certain events, both national and international.
