London, the Latin text changes at school: more space for women and ethnic minorities

Veritas filia temporis, the Latins taught, and with the passage of time a more articulated truth about ancient Rome emerges: in the era of the Caesars, women also had a role, not all the protagonists were white and the life of slaves did not resemble certainly to a bed of roses. This tells a new edition of “Cambridge Latin Course”, the most popular textbook for the study of Latin in English schools, which will be published next month, a few weeks before the beginning of the 2022-’23 school year.
