The well-known lawyer Luis Tudela Varela, popular for his work representing various local entertainment characters, died on February 24 after suffering a decompensation, during the voting for the new representative of the Lima Bar Association.
The jurist was in these elections as the legal representative of the candidate Gastón Soto, who reported on Tudela’s death this Sunday morning.
“Indeed, as you just mentioned, our main representative, Dr. Luis Alberto Tudela Varela, unfortunately left us yesterday. In circumstances so difficult as to be able to bear news of that nature, we were in the midst of the electoral process,” Soto told RPP media.
Who was Luis Tudela Varela?
Luis Tudela Varela was a lawyer specialized in crimes against property, health and bodily integrity, family and gender violence. In addition, he is a founding partner of the law firm Tudela & Asociados.
His work has stood out on the local scene because he has participated in the defense of various media cases. In addition to her work with figures from the artistic world, he was also part of cases such as that of Paolo Guerrero and Susana Villarán.
