Australian actor Grant Page, recognized for his participation in the iconic film “Mad Max”, tragically died at the age of 85 in a car accident. The news was confirmed by his son, Leroy Page, in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

The tragic event occurred on March 14 when Grant Page was driving alone near his home in Kendal, on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia. According to preliminary reports, the vehicle of the experienced stunt coordinator in films such as “The Man from Hong Kong” hit a tree. Despite the quick arrival of emergency services, all efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.

Despite his age, Grant Page still had several projects in progress, including his participation in “Furiosa”, a film that is about to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where Anya Taylor Joy has the lead role. In the words of his son, Grant “passed away in a very high spirit and was very motivated. He was very happy,” since his extensive career had made him a true film legend.

Grant Page collaborated closely with Oscar winner George Miller on the 1979 action classic “Mad Max,” where he helped bring to life the famous saga that launched Mel Gibson to stardom. Additionally, he served as stunt coordinator on the 1985 sequel, “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome,” starring Tina Turner.

Although his work on the “Mad Max” saga is undoubtedly one of his greatest achievements, Grant Page participated in numerous projects throughout his career. From his appearance as himself in the mockumentary “Stunt Rock” to his outstanding participation in the 2008 documentary “Not Quite Hollywood”, where his legacy in action cinema was immortalized along with other legends such as Quentin Tarantino, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dennis Hopper. Without a doubt, Grant Page will be remembered for his valuable contribution to the world of action cinema and for the unforgettable sequences he helped create.
