Breakthrough in the investigation into the death of Alessio Cinithe 57-year-old textile technician originally from Prato found dead, semi-charred Agliana (Pistoia) on the morning of January 8. The Pistoia prosecutor’s office has issued a detention order against Daniele Maiorino, 57 years old, brother-in-law of the victim. According to investigators, the motive would be linked to the difficult economic situation of the alleged murderer and the benefit he believed he could obtain from an inheritance in the event of the death of his brother-in-law.
The turning point thanks to cameras and wiretaps Maiorino allegedly killed his brother-in-law, between 5.52am and 5.59am on January 8th, in the access area of the victim’s home, hitting him in the head with a bar and several blows to the chest. When Cini, in very serious conditions but still alive, lay lifeless on the ground, he attempted to set fire to his body. The investigators explain that the videos from the video cameras in the area but above all the environmental interceptions in Maiorino’s car are crucial for the purposes of the investigations. The investigations, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Leonardo De Gaudio, were carried out by the operational section of the Pistoia carabinieri company.
