Many netizens complained about Instagram and WhatsApp being down on social media in the early hours of Thursday (4/4/2024). This outage appears to be global and affects many users who are unable to access the service.
According to detikINET monitoring on the Downdetector site, the disturbance started at around 02.00 WIB. The spike in problem reports reached a peak of around 82,000 cases in just under half an hour.
Meta, the parent company of both platforms, has not provided an official explanation regarding the cause of this disruption. However, the company created by Mark Zuckerberg has stated that most of the problems have been resolved, there are still complaints of continued disruption.

“We know some people are experiencing problems at the moment, we are working to get everything back to 100% for everyone as quickly as possible,” said WhatsApp on the X.com account.
Even so, the problem of Instagram and WhatsApp being down remains a hot topic on social media. Many people still complain, especially business users, of not being able to send or receive messages and connect to the server.
