Now it is not long until Maria Mena and her fiance Morten Kleppa become parents. It was on Instagram that she shared the big news with all her followers. This is what she wrote in her own words on the platform.
– I have been looking forward to telling you this so much! This summer (if all goes well) we will be allowed to become parents! I am filled with joy, gratitude, a strange calm. I feel butterflies as big as elephants and I am deliciously terrified at the same time!
She has previously revealed that she is expecting a boy. And on Women’s Day itself on March 8, she was a guest on Good morning Norway on TV 2. There she shared even more about what happens in life. It is not until the summer month of June that she has her due date.
– I am unable to fully log in to what is happening. I look at both me and sometimes Morten that it occurs to us that another person will move in with us, she said to the channel, writes TV2.
In a candid moment on the TV show, she shared her thoughts on the challenges and joys of being a touring artist during pregnancy. “It’s very scary,” she admitted, but also pointed out how her good form has allowed her to continue touring throughout much of her pregnancy. Looking to the future, she revealed plans for another tour after the baby is born, but with a special twist this time. “I have now been on tour with him in my belly and am planning another tour in November, after he has arrived. So I have time to get to know him a bit before the whole family goes on tour,” she explained enthusiastically.
She emphasized how privileged she feels to have a supportive partner by her side, especially considering his professional background. “Then I’m very lucky to have a husband who is a trained kindergarten teacher,” she said, sharing her gratitude for the extra support this gives the family on tour.

Mena shared her reflections on the transition to motherhood, which initially seemed challenging to her. She and her partner had a deep conversation about their desire to become parents before they decided to try. Mena feels confident that she will be a loving and reliable mother, based on the security she already offers to those around her. The couple have decided on a name for the boy, although Mena allows that this may change at birth, but hinted that the name starts with “M”.
