“In these days, characterized by the violence and brutality of the war unleashed by the Russian Federation in the territories of Ukraine, we cannot help but remember in particular the Italian soldiers who were victims of the Second World War”. This was said by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in the message sent to the president of the National Alpini Association, Sebastiano Favero on the occasion of the 93rd National Assembly Ana, in Rimini. “To their memory, to their sacrifice and to that of all the fallen of our Armed Forces, to the feelings of peace that painfully matured – notes the Head of State – in that conflict and which have given us back a Europe free of wars for over half a century, we dedicate this day, together with the most intense wishes for the success of the event ».
